The brief called for a contemporary interior, but one that was also long lasting and timeless. Peter Hunt Architect responded by introducing the client to an earthy colour palette incorporating natural timber veneer for joinery items, hard wearing neutral fabrics and unpretentious furniture. The interior was then infused with touches of bright colour and furnishings for the areas requiring a bolder statement.

The interior design created a functional and aesthetically pleasing outcome balancing the dictates of formality Reception and Council Chambers with a more casual and user friendly environment within Administration Areas. Space planning solutions exploited available natural light to optimise daylight penetration into staff office areas with the creation of a technically sophisticated and flexible fitout with the capacity to easily respond to future change without creating major disruption.
